This piece was a project for my Beginning Design/Art 101 class I took during Winter Term 2025 at Pierce College. The purpose of the project was to experiment drawing open and closed shapes, and then to cut out those shapes from paper and use them to practice creating compositions. I took my best composition from the batch and made two paintings based on it.

The subject of this piece is very personal and emotional for me. It depicts a person facing the consequences of their actions in an endless lonely void, with the ever-present watchful eye of a higher power serving as their only company. The figure in the bottom-left represents a specific person in my life, bowing their head and accepting their fate as jagged arrows and spearheads descend upon them. The weapons represent the hurtful nature of their actions, each one different from the other, but similarly sharp and horrifying. The eye in the corner represents an all-knowing divine being, the only one to watch as the figure submits to the inevitable pain of Karma.
