About Me

Hello, world! I’m Kurtis, a 21-year-old designer living in Lakebay, Washington. I attend Pierce College, where I’m pursuing an Associate of Applied Science in New Media and Digital Design, as well as a UX/UI Design Certificate. I’m proficient in a variety of creative fields, including graphic design, UX/UI design, typography, photography, film, drawing, and painting.

In my free time, I can either be found exploring nature or supporting my local music scene by attending concerts. I'd love to see your band!

“A work of art which did not begin in emotion is not art.”
- Paul Cézanne

My Mission Statement

My aim is to create visual works that tap into the human psyche to evoke powerful emotions — and, in turn, even more powerful reactions. Sometimes those emotions may be comfort, delight, and inspiration; other times, they might be sadness, fear, or introspection.

As humans, we all experience a wide range of feelings that deserve to be embraced rather than ignored. I believe that when we choose to engage with these emotions instead of suppressing them, we can foster a meaningful connection between the viewer or user and the entity behind the visual work. I’d love to use my skills as a designer to help you and your company achieve this.
